Two-A-Days OVER

Super busy week for us last week... soccer, soccer, and more soccer!
Two-A-Days are OVER, never again will I have to do them for college soccer! It really is a bitter sweet thing because two-a-days just plain suck but at the same time it's my last year as a college player. As much as they suck though, it's really a great soccer experience because every aspect of the game is being pushed especially the mental aspect. It's a time where you have to dig down as a player and challenge yourself to go beyond your limits.
For our two-a-days they consisted of a fitness test in the morning:

  1. 120's: 10 sprints of 114 yds. completed in 18 sec and back to starting line in 30 sec.
  2. Cooper Test: run the mile in a half in 10:35 (I completed it in 10:17, which happened to be the fastest time overall out of our team.) Kind of was surprised there.
  3. Beep Test: through stage 7
  4. Cones: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 yd ladders, completed in 19 sec. 5 sets
  5. Juggling test
  6. Push up/ Sit up test
  7. 40 yard dash
Then, in the afternoon was a two hour training session. Along with weight training two of the five days. So it's wake up, eat, condition, take a nap, eat, practice, weights, eat, sleep. Then start all over again (: ha ha
For my senior season I want to go out winning conference. So I know I'm going to have to put in the hours of hard work and be dedicated more than ever to make this happen. I have to create the future I want.

As for Cam... he was out in about coaching/working, getting his team ready for their season from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. all last week. Here is one photo of Cam's team during our first week here.

Also, here is the link for the men's team so you can see how Cam is doing coaching this season.

To watch both teams games this season, they will be uploaded on YouTube- BYUHawaiiAthletics or follow the link at http://www.youtube.com/user/BYUHawaiiAthletics

P.s. If you decide to watch any of the women's inter squad scrimmage, start at the second half (37 min). The second half is a lot better compared to the first. No goals yet, but we're starting to get back into our groove.
I have high hopes for our team this season and I know we can accomplish big things. I couldn't be more excited for our season to start and look forward to what the future holds for us.
