General Conference

GOODMORNING!
We love General Conference!

Starting at 6 a.m.this weekend we had the great opportunity to listen to the words of our living prophets and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We were blessed to hear these messages and look forward to incorporating them into our daily lives. I want to share with you just a few of my favorite quotes from this conference.
  • "Live what you Learn." -Robert D. Hales
  • "Do things BETTER today than you did yesterday." -Ulissis Soars
  • "Look Ahead and BELIEVE." -Edward Dube
  • "Live within your means." -David A. Bednar (TITHING is something I've always struggled with, so I'm incredibly glad I married a man who has made that a habit in his life. Cam is always reminding me to budget around tithing which I'm so grateful for.)
  • "Doubt your doubts before you doubt faith." -Dieter F. Uchtdorf
  • "We need tender, refined, faithful, goodly, virtuous, kind women." -Boyd K. Packer (something to strive for)
  • "I am a vigorous advocate of square shoulders and positive thinking." -Jeffrey R. Holland
  • "BELIEVE IN MIRACLES." -Jeffrey R. Holland
  • "Dedication, Perseverance and Self Discipline." -Richard J. Maynes
  • "YOU MUST BECOME THE ROCK THE RIVER CAN NOT WASH AWAY." -Richard J. Maynes
  • "Shall I falter or shall I finish." -Pres. Thomas S. Monson
  • "DECISIONS DETERMINE DESTINY." -Russell M. Nelson
As you can see we listened VERY intently EXCEPT for a few road bumps along the way.......

Needed a little more sleep and yes, that is a "tattoo" Cam drew on my leg. Never too old for "naps" and "coloring", right? haha

Saturday morning, in between sessions we made Eggs and Chocolate Chip- Greek Yogurt Pancakes. Then after we definitely hit that beach up!
Sunday morning, in between sessions we made yummy Cinnamon Rolls (: . Then, later we had some friends over at our place for dinner. Mashed potatoes, brown sugar carrots and flank steak with a green salad and Mac made 'Samoan Rolls' (soooo goood, I'll have to share the recipe soon!). It was crazy how only two other couples in our home made the place feel so crowded! Hahah. BUT, it was a fun time and good laughs about wisdom teeth and concussion stories.
